Description

This easy, wheelchair-accessible trail leads you through the Leutasch district of Kirchplatzl. The path is flat, wide, and free of hazards. Over 1.8 km, you walk along the wonderfully calming Leutascher Ache and discover this peaceful, slow-paced part of the valley.

The route starts either at car park P9 (accessible toilet opposite) or at the bus stop Leutasch Kirchplatzl. From the car park, cross the zebra crossing, turn briefly left along the sidewalk, and then immediately right towards the parish church St. Magdalena – the starting point if you arrive by bus.

Continue north and turn left before Hotel Xander, following the road until you reach a junction. Instead of left or right, take the small paved path straight ahead between two fields. At the Kühtaierhof, you can take a break or continue straight. After the playground, take the next left. The trail leads straight ahead again until another junction, where you once more choose the middle path, changing from asphalt to gravel.

After a quiet forest section, you reach the main road. Follow the sidewalk across the bridge, then turn sharply left to cross the road (caution: no zebra crossing). On the other side, the path runs directly along the Leutascher Ache – the highlight of the hike. Enjoy the sound of the water and the relaxing atmosphere. Shortly before leaving the forest, another junction appears – and once again, take the middle path. After passing the first building in a while, turn left across the bridge, pass thefire station, and reach the starting point near the main road.
