Seven stages of the Eagle Walk lead through the Karwendel Mountains. The first takes hikers from the village of Pertisau am Achensee into the gently ascending Falzturntal Valley to the Gramaialm, then through the wonderful landscape of the Ahornboden with its many chestnut trees and on to the Karwendelhaus. The stage from the Karwendelhaus to the Hallangerhaus is the most challenging in the Karwendel Mountains in terms of mountaineering and leads to the 2,749-metre-high Birkkarspitze. The twelfth stage runs along the Goetheweg trail and ends at the Hafelekar on the Innsbruck Nordkette. After a short detour into the Tux Alps, the fourteenth stage of the Eagle Walk from Innsbruck to the Solsteinhaus takes you back to the Karwendel Mountains.
