Important! The Lorea-Hütte is closed in 2021 (no accommodation).

Self catering mountain refuge hut high above the Fern Pass
German Alpine Club Hut, Section Isartal

The Lorea-Hütte is named after the Loreakopf peak. You will not find a caretaker or landlord at the hut since it is a self-catering mountain hut, accessible only from June to the end of September with the aid of a key from the Alpine Club. Once there, you will find 20 mattresses in dormitory-style accommodation, a kitchen, communal room and laundry room. Food, however, is not offered and visitors will have to be satisfied with the provisions they have brought themselves. The surrounding landscapes are powerful: the Lorea-Hütte, also known as the Otto-Reinhardt-Hütte, is located on a long grassy ridge above the Loreaalm and offers splendid views of the surrounding mountains.
