Description

The starting point of the tour is the Eisbrücke car park. From there, the forest path leads through the Fotschertal valley to the Weidenhof and further into the valley to the small Hintra Alm, just below the Potsdamer Hütte.
The Wildkopf is a fantastic panoramic mountain and one of the most popular ski tour destinations in the region. From the Hintra Alm, the route is flat down into the valley, past a boulder with a memorial cross. Keeping to the left, you ascend through well-organised terrain into the high valley, which reaches up to the summit. A short steep gully takes you to the ridge. An easily accessible ridge then leads south-westwards to the summit with its beautiful cross.
