Description

This moderately difficult ski tour starts in Haggen and leads steadily uphill through the Kraspestal valley to the Kraspesferner. Thanks to its north-facing location, it can often be done well into spring - March and April are particularly popular. The approach begins flat through the forest before wide, rewarding ski slopes open up at the back of the valley. In the two steeper passages - the so-called ‘Zwingen’ - a good ascent technique is required. Crampons are recommended here. The varied terrain makes the tour particularly attractive but also challenging.
