This winter hike is a leisurely walk through Trins. The view from the Gschnitzbach up into the mountains is majestic, especially on beautiful winter days. As it is a circular hike, you can start at any point.
From the Trinserhof bus stop or the car park at the entrance to the village, walk a little way into the valley, turn left and follow the signs for "Wiesenweg" down to the Gschnitzbach stream. Walk along the stream down into the valley. If you like, you can take a detour to the sun terrace of the nearby Liftstüberl on the other side of the stream a little way into the valley. Continue through a romantic lane along the old castle wall of Schneeberg Castle past the forest cemetery with chapel up to the forest festival site. Cross the main road and follow the road opposite. Then cross a small bridge through the Bichl district and the village centre back to the starting point.
