This partly quite sunny winter hiking trail leads through the beautiful forest above Trins. If you wish, you can continue along the trail directly to the Adlerblick viewing platform (note: only well-trodden winter trail) and enjoy the magnificent view of the Gschnitztal valley.
From the Waldfestplatz bus stop / car park 4, walk out of the valley on the other side of the main road through the Bichl district (parallel to the main road). Alternatively, you can also start from the Gemeindeamt stop / the Ortsmitte car park (P3). Then walk a short distance along the road into the valley and turn right opposite Café Max. At a sharp fork in the road, follow the steep road up to the edge of the forest. The winter hiking trail starts from here into the valley via the forest path into the forest. After a while you come to a crossroads. Continue along the forest path out of the valley (not in the direction of the Padasterjochhaus). Shortly before Platzerwald, follow the hiking signs along a well-trodden path on the forest road in the direction of Adlerblick. At the turnoff to the trail that leads directly to the Adlerblick, there is a fence with signs. The path is well trodden but not cleared. The view from the platform is very rewarding, but you should be sure-footed and free from vertigo. From Adlerblick, a wider forest path (summer path) then leads back down to the Bichl district.
