Hippach gives quick and easy access to the large ski resort of Mayrhofen with its diverse variety of slopes for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities.
The small village of Hippach in the Zillertal Valley is an excellent base camp from which to explore the nearby resort of Mayrhofen with pistes up to 2,500 metres above sea level. This resort is spread across several mountains (Horberg, Penken, Ahorn and Rastkogel) – the closest to Hippach is the Horberg, where skiers will find a practice area for children as well as several easy and intermediate slopes perfect for families. Those in search of more action and adrenaline should visit the Penken mountain, where highlights include lots of freeriding as well as the ridiculously steep Harakiri Piste. There are on-mountain huts and restaurants throughout the resort.
