Enjoy the peace and tranquillity of Pitztal Valley’s more than 70 kilometers of cross country ski trails for all ability levels, climbing from the valley to a 2,740 meter elevation at Pitztal Glacier. The Rifflsee High Altitude XC Ski Track (elev. 2,280 m) and the Pitztal Glacier provide Nordic skiers with fabulous early and late season terrain and consistently good snow conditions. The Glacier cross country ski season begins in mid-September and continues into May. The roughly 23-kilometer long Valley Track offers a pleasant cross country skiing opportunity for beginners. Almost all trails have both skating and traditional striding lanes. Complimentary skier’s shuttle bus services, special accommodations for cross country skiers and equipment rentals make Pitztal Valley a true haven for cross country ski enthusiasts.
