Snowshoeing and Winter Hiking in Hall-Wattens

The Hall-Wattens region has plenty to offer for visitors wishing to discover the snowy landscape on foot.

Highlights include snowshoe hikes and torch-lit hikes in the evenings as well as fun Nature Watch tours to observe the local fauna. After stopping for a hearty meal at one of the many traditional restaurants, try something a little different and hire a “Klumper” – a type of toboggan with just a single ski on the bottom to balance on!

Tip! Guided animal-watching hikes are offered in the Karwendel Mountains. Participants receive a pair of Swarovski binoculars and, with a little luck, will be able to observe squirrels, chamois, ibex and deer as well as learning about how these animals survive the winter in this harsh environment. Meeting point: Hinterhornalm car park, Gnadenwald, maximum number of participants: 10. Price: €6 (free for guestcard holders). Dates: every Thursday at 14:00 from 1 December 2021 until 31 March 2022. Please register by contacting the tourism information office in Hall: +43.5223.455440, info@hall-wattens.at, www.hall-wattens.at
