Skiing in Nauders – Tirol Oberland – Kaunertal

No two ski days are the same in the Nauders – Tiroler Oberland – Kaunertal region. There are three ski resorts offering fabulous cross-border views plus a glacier ski area with slopes up to 3,160 metres above sea level.

Stretching between the Reschen mountain pass, the Kaunertal Glacier and the village of Prutz in the Inn Valley, this region has plenty to offer beginners, intermediate skiers and experts. The resort of Nauders borders both Italy and Switzerland and has plenty of pistes for families. Kids will love the "Nauderix Kinderland" with its easy slopes, ski carousel and special children's restaurant. A little smaller but also perfect for families is the resort of Fendels near Ried im Oberinntal. It has seven lifts and pistes catering for all abilities. The most challenging skiing and snowboarding can be found on the Kaunertal Glacier. The slopes there at up to 3,160 metres above sea level include two real "thigh burners" as well as an official FIS race piste open to the public.
