Hölltal Gorge and “The Place of Silence”

Pfafflar

Mighty Hölltal Gorge in Lechtal Valley is home to the “Trail of The Senses”. The trail departs from the “Maria Schnee” pilgrimage church in Bschlabs and takes in the suspension bridge over Streimbach River to the “Place of Silence” (“Ort der Stille”). An excellent place for quiet contemplation and discovery, this is perfect to take some silent time listening to nature and absorbing the wonderful scenery. The amazing “Trail of The Senses” was created by local artists and allows visitors to observe the natural environment through the use of works of art and interpretive plaques. The well-marked trail is an outstanding nature experience and takes about 50 minutes to complete. Spell-binding views of Hölltal Gorge are waiting to be experienced from the end of the trail. The steep-sided gorge is almost 45 meters deep but only 40 centimeters wide at some sections.
