Hedwig

Steffi Harrer's small boutique in the Malser Straße in Landeck bears the name of her grandmother, Hedwig. However, don't be fooled! The contemporary fashion on offer here is anything but stuffy or frumpy.

With the greatest respect, few people in Tirol looking for cutting edge Scandinavian fashion and accessories would think of travelling to Landeck. This town in the west of Tirol has plenty to offer, but in fashion terms it has nothing which sets it apart from other places of a similar size ... right? Wrong. In the Malser Straße in heart of the town is Hedwig, a trendy boutique which proves that Landeck in fact has more to offer fashion-conscious visitors than meets the eye.

Steffi Harrer's family has long been intrinsically linked with clothing and fashion. Her grandmother, Hedwig, ran the Schuhhaus Harrer, an institution in Landeck. In 2010, Steffi opened her own boutique in the town – and promptly named it after her grandmother. Yet, despite the name, there is nothing old-fashioned about the contemporary ladieswear which draws followers of fashion from throughout the Oberland region to Landeck.

Nordic styling

Steffi Harrer has developed a particular passion for up-and-coming designers from the Nordic countries. Examples include the Danish duo Storm & Marie and the Swedish designer Filippa K. Among the many other exclusive brands on offer are Black Orchid Jeans from Los Angeles. And, last but by no means least, Steffi is always on the lookout for new trends closer to home in Germany and Austria: Liebeskind Berlin's shoes and accessories, bags by Taschendieb Wien and handbags designed by the young German Constanze Alef for her label FredsBruder all feature on the shelves of this small but perfectly formed boutique.
