Great fun for the whole family, the Ambras Castle Festival is an ever popular annual event that draws thousands of visitors each August. This year it’s all about celebrating the anniversary of Archduke Ferdinand II.
Ambras Castle is delighted to be associated with the Festival of Early Music, now in its 23rd year: A fun-filled day for all the family, the ever popular annual event is once again taking place on August 15, 2017. Colourful performers will entertain you in the true style of the Middle Ages with minstrels, strolling players, mystics, jugglers, jousters, jesters, armoured knights in combat and traditional music. The amazing Renaissance castle and its enchanting park grounds serve as wonderful backdrop to this spectacle.
By 2:00pm, INNegal Ensemble will perform arias and dance of the Ferdinand era at the Spanish Hall. The rosarum flores Ensemble will take visitors on a musical journey of Baroque Europe at St. Nicolas Chapel.
