This play by Lisa Wentz is based upon Eugene O’Neill’s “Desire Under the Elms” and will be put to the stage at the Tirol Provincial Theater in Innsbruck from mid-September to mid-December.
“Desire” is the reworking of the 1924 play written by Eugene O'Neill. The original, “Desire Under the Elms”, signifies an attempt by O'Neill to adapt plot elements and themes of Greek tragedy to a rural New England setting. Lisa Wentz’s play is set in the rural countryside of Tirol and will be running at the Tirol Provincial Theater in Innsbruck from September 14 to December 13, 2024.
