“Bergkaiser” King of the Mountain

Gaining a nasty 1,400 vertical meters, this race will take avid cyclists from Kematen to Kühtai on spectacular and challenging roads sure to provide thrills for all.

The race starts at 09:00am at Bäcker Ruetz Bakery in Kematen. The route starts gently on its first ten kilometers across flat Inntal Valley and becomes more aggressive on the long ascent. The hill climb across Sellraintal Valley, Gries, St. Sigmund and Haggen ends up at Kühtai at an elevation of 2,000 meters. The route may be short (25 kilometers) but beware; the riders’ climbing ability will be challenged on the demanding 1,400 vertical meters. The award-giving ceremony takes place around noon at Astoria Hotel in Kühtai, followed by a pasta party for the riders.
