Attracting more than 1,700 participants each year, the legendary annual Ganghofer Race across pristine Leutasch Valley is Tirol’s oldest signature cross country skiing race, celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2020.
It’s that yearly craving for the excitement, camaraderie and challenge that can only be satisfied by clicking into a pair of cross country skis and lining up at the start line with more than 1,700 other ski pals from around the world. It’s an annual test of personal endurance. And it’s a great way to enjoy winter skiing amongst towering pines and through the pristine serenity of Leutasch Valley at Seefeld Olympia Region. Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2020, this year’s event also plays host to the 2020 Ski Marathon European Championships on Sunday, March 01, 2020 with a 42K skating race.
The four Ganghofer Race divisions for adults include 20K and 42K skating races and 25K and 50K diagonal stride races. The Mini Ganghofer Race for junior competitors aged between 3 and 17 will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020.
