The Heart of Noise Festival brings together live performances by extraordinary artists, visual art & audience participation to create a legendary one-of-a-kind festival in Innsbruck.
With an ambitious programme of mind bending music, sense shifting art and mindblowing performances, this experimental music and arts festival stands out as a true alternative to the alternative. International DJs, action artists, performance collectives and experimental musicians are catering to the truly leftfield end of the spectrum at four different venues throughout town. The festival takes care to present only the most artistically relevant and irreverent acts in the fields of music, digital arts, video and DJ culture, while simultaneously making sure to fill every moment with the opportunities to let loose and party, or sit down at engaging talks, discussions and workshops, or take in exclusive screenings and exhibitions. The opening event on Friday night sees performances by Peter Brandlmayr, Michaela Senn and Marco Tiberius Schaf on the square in front of the House of Music, followed by a premiere of the opera „AkthamarII“, which was especially written for the Heart of Noise Festival by Ekehardt Rainalter.
Occupying an exalted position at the heart of Innsbruck’s cultural life, the three-day Heart of Noise Festival tops off the summer season with a dance-inducing display of arts and sound. Blending arts with music, the festival is a lively celebration of contemporary culture for the adventurous audience. Sound installations, live setting to music, art performances and dance moves sweep through Innsbruck during the prestigious festival. The Heart of Noise Festival is the perfect place to witness the vibrant DJ, music, arts and culture scene on the main stage at the House of Music, at the Pema Tower, at the Kunstraum Innsbruck and during a tram ride on Sunday.
