A beloved tradition, Hochfügen celebrates on the slopes for winter season finale with an entertaining rope team race, which is both a competitors’ and spectator’s favourite!
Hochfügen has saved the best event of the season for last: an annual cult favourite, the 57th Hochfügen Rope Team Race that culminates with the burning of Old Man Winter, beckons all intrepid skiers to wax up their downhill gear. Each team is made up of three racers who must complete the course while holding onto a rope. Taking place on March 27 and 28, 2021, the Rope Team Race is both a competitors’ and spectator’s favourite!
This year’s race will be held on Lamark Slope, which enhances viewing for spectators (if spectators are allowed at this year’s event due to the coronavirus pandemic). What’s more, Ski Cross features and man-made obstacles will liven things up a bit. Former World Cup ski racers have announced to participate in this year’s event.
Little ones can take the challenge of the Kids’ Rope Team Race. Apart from the races, there are live acts and fun at the marquee.
