Innsbruck International

Innsbruck, 06.05.2022 - 22.05.2022

Innsbruck International is a biennal of contemporary art taking place across the capital’s public spaces, galleries and museums this May.

The Biennial of the arts invites international artists to make use of Innsbruck’s extraordinary historical and contemporary venues in the presentation of their works of visual art, film, and sound as well as performances and installations. The 2022 Biennal is revolving around the philosophy of “Cookie. Take a Moment to Review your Privacy Preferences“. In doing so, the Biennial is responding to a pivotal period during the Covid-19 pandemic when people began creating and sharing digital twins of themselves in home-office sessions, which has since become a valuable asset for business, politics, and society. ‘Human capital’ has indeed become capital in the Covid-19 era.

Anna Anderluh, Rosa Anschütz, Ruben Aubrecht, Cinématons (Hellmut Bruch, Thomas Feuerstein, Florian Horwath, Nora Schöpfer, Micha Wille; Filmmaker: Guillermo Tellechea), Oumy Cissé, Jo Coupe, Lars Eidinger, God’s Entertainment, Golin, Saori Hala, Oliver Hangl, Iku, Shirin Neshat, Nada Prlja, Michael Strasser, Die Strottern, Akemi Takeya, Doris Uhlich, Enrique Gasa Valga, Antoinette Zwirchmayr and many more.

From May 07 through 22, 2022, this festival of contemporary art is taking place across public spaces, galleries and museums of Innsbruck. Learn More.
