Innsbruck puts on an impressive display for summer solstice 2019, lighting up Nordkette Mountain Range at night. The ride up in the Nordkette Gondola will leave you breathless as you take in panoramic views.
As visitors make their way from the city center to the mountaintop station at Hafelekar, they can look forward to fire, feasts made up of traditional cuisine and live music along the way. Each of the stops on the journey (Löwenhaus, Alpine Zoo, Hungerburg, Seegrube and Hafelekar) will be offering its own entertainment program, with discounted flexi tickets making it easy to hop on and off as you wish. The higher into the mountains you travel, the more spectacular things get. Seegrube and Hafelekar are the spots that are particularly majestic to see the fires lit throughout Inntal Valley as well as on the slopes and peaks of rugged Nordkette Range.
Nordketten Gondolas operate every half hour from 6:00pm. The last ride down from the top station (Hafelekar) is at 11:00pm. The final gondola leaves the main station (Seegrube) at 11:30pm.
