The 2019 Ischgl MTB Festival is a four-day mountain bike celebration. Undisputed highlight is Iron Bike, Europe’s toughest mountain bike marathon challenge.
Iron Bike, Europe’s toughest mountain bike marathon challenge, takes daredevil mountain bikers to the very essence of mountain biking in scenic Paznaun Valley. While the core of the event and the vibe will remain the same, Ischgl does have some tricks up its sleeve for this year, proudly presenting the 4th Ischgl MTB Festival, a four-day mountain bike celebration that will include a main expo/festival, bike demos, great entertainment and a whole lot of rugged singletrack.
The Ischgl MTB Festival is kicked-off July 31, 2019 with a Prologue at 4:00pm. August 1, 2019, 8:00pm, sees the “Ischgl Alpenhaus Trophy”, a nocturnal hill climb on an illuminated track that climbs a nasty 1,000 vertical meters. The “Iron Bike Kids & Juniors Trophy” race for aspiring talents takes place on August 2, 2019 at 2:00pm, followed by the “Ischgl Show Track” at 6:00pm, where competitive riders will hit the streets of Ischgl bringing the best criterium racing and the biggest street party to the heart of the village.
Highlight of the festival is the legendary Ischgl Iron Bike Marathon race on Saturday, where international pros and ambitious amateurs will battle for glory and for a grand cash award. There are four fully marshalled, tough routes to choose from.
