The ultimate gathering for all those who love the great outdoors: The three-day Mountain Sports Festival in St. Anton celebrates outdoor adventures like rock climbing, paragliding and mountain biking.
Release your endorphins by soaring the sky and feel like a bird: In a tandem paragliding flight, you’re strapped to a certified instructor as you run off the side of a mountain and float into the sky. Your only tasks are to manage your fear and keep your eyes open for the view – an eagle’s perspective on the glorious Alps. First-timers, take heart: The scariest part is before you take off. Paragliding is one of the outdoor activities that can be experienced up-close and personal at the 2024 Mountain Sports Festival in St. Anton in late June. As the name suggests, it is a weekend that is full of sporting events in addition to live music, an expo area, and local food. It’s easy to find your adventure at this three-day festival – we have a lot of it: From rock climbing and trail running over kayaking and mountain biking (with or without electric assist), to hiking, road cycling, yoga, and more.
Workshops and lectures on a wide range of mountain and outdoor topics as well as guided tours and camps are offered throughout the festival. Moreover, visitors can check out the latest gear and apparel at the expo area that is provided by the Tourist Board of in St. Anton. A movie night, live acts—by Tony Wright and the “One Take Band” and others—food and drink will round out fun-filled days. The annual Montafon Arlberg Marathon takes place on Saturday.
