Tirol has long been a pioneer in supporting local farmers and organic practices. In September, the Mountain Farmer’s Festival celebrates the delicious organic produce in the Old Town of Hall.

On September 07, 2024, find out-of-the-ordinary goods along with a full food court and acoustic entertainment at Stiftsplatz square in Hall from 10:00am to 4:00pm. The outstanding Bio vom Berg” (‘Organic from the Mountain’) farmers’ market places vendors and visitors in the heart of the medieval old town district. Nibble samples from organic mountain farmers from North Tirol, East Tirol and South Tirol who whip up Tirol dishes and delight with organic garden goodies and regional fare. This year’s festival is revolving around the potato. Add live music and kids’ play areas, and the event resembles a bustling county fair.
