Tirol has long been a pioneer in supporting local farmers and organic practices. From late September onwards, the Organic Mountain Farmer’s Week celebrates the delicious organic produce in the Old Town of Hall.
This year’s Day of Organic Farming, September 28, is celebrated with a whole week of related events and activities in Hall in Tirol. There will be a rich variety of events, including workshops, movie nights, lectures and panel talks, wild flower excursions and guided farm tours. A satirical revue night takes place at Kurhaus September 28, 2021. On October 01, 2021, find out-of-the-ordinary goods along with a full food court and acoustic entertainment at Upper Town Square of Hall from 11:00am to 5:00pm. The outstanding “Bio vom Berg” (‘Organic from the Mountain’) farmers’ market places vendors and visitors in the heart of the medieval old town district. Nibble samples from organic mountain farmers from North Tirol, East Tirol and South Tirol who whip up Tirol dishes and delight with organic garden goodies and regional fare. Add live music and kids’ play areas, and the event resembles a bustling county fair. The Provincial Fruit Exhibition is scheduled for October 02 and 03, 2021 at the Baroque Town Hall.
