This July, the 2nd “terra raetica trails” Trail Running Festival will be held in Tirol Oberland Region, Kaunertal Valley and in Nauders: 5 races in 5 days at 5 locations – complete with border crossings into Switzerland and Italy.
In its second year, this new trail running race series begins on July 02, 2024 with the race along Thomas-Penz-Höhenweg High Elevation Trail in Kaunertal Valley. Racing continues the following days along Frudiger Trail in Pfunds (Tirol Oberland Region), Piz-Arina Trail on the Swiss side of the border, Nauders High Elevation Trail and Reschensee Trail on the shores of Reschensee Lake in Italy’s South Tyrol. The distances for the races are between 16 and 28 kilometers with manageable elevation gains between 1,100 and 2,100 vertical meters. All trails are newly created and waymarked. The overall winners of the five events will be awarded on July 06, 2024. Races begin at 09:30am each. Runners are welcome to take part in all five races or selected ones.
