The Eagle Walk section across the Brandenberg Alps/Rofan Mountains is an area of gorgeous landscape and challenging Alpine terrain.
The Brandenberg Alps are bordered by Lake Achensee and Inntal Valley on one side and the Bavarian foothills of the Alps on the other. Here, the Eagle Walk runs through an area of gorgeous landscape and challenging Alpine terrain along four strenuous stages. You'll have to earn the views on these hikes. Even for fit hikers, stage 4 and stage 7 are physically demanding with 1,330 and 1,590 metres of elevation gain.
Keep your camera charged! These incomparably beautiful mountains offer many photo opportunities: emerald carpets laden with dazzling wildflower bouquets draped over rolling ridges, towered by craggy cliffs, etc. The Pendling Range, the Brandenberg Alps’ eastern part, stretches from Steinberg/Brandenberg to Kufstein; the Rofan Mountains, its western part, are sandwiched between the Brandenberger Ache River and Lake Achensee. Outdoor enthusiasts of all skill levels will find peaks ranging from easy to difficult, with hiking trails for exploring the gorgeous scenery and rugged beauty. Rofan reaches its highest point in Hochiss (2,299m/7,543ft); the Dalfazer Wände is a striking crest here.
