Dürrenberger Alm

The Dürrenberg Alm hut is perched above the town of Reutte at 1,436 metres above sea level. This traditional mountain hut is well worth a visit thanks to its cosy wood-panelled rooms, large terrace, delicious food and fabulous views. Don't forget to try one of the homemade cakes before heading back down into the valley!

Trail description

The hike starts at the Urisee car park in Mühl near the centre of Reutte. Take the wide forest trail which winds its way up. Soon you will reach the first turning left into the forest. From this point on the trail is narrow and steep in places. Those who would rather take the easier option can stay on the wide forest trail all the way to the hut. After around three kilometres of hiking you will reach the hut. Return along the way you came.
