Kögljoch Col

Areas of awesome natural beauty, fabulous views and absolute peace and quiet are the main characteristics of this classic snowshoe hike for outdoor enthusiasts with a good level of fitness. The route itself has both uphill and downhill sections, with the approach to Köglsattel Ridge furiously working its way up in switchbacks. There are also several steep descents. Snow trekkers should be aware that finding their way through this relatively challenging terrain can be tricky, so thorough planning in advance is important. Those unfamiliar with the region are advised to hire a qualified guide.
