Description

The barrier-free section is part of the cross-country trail A9 Unterleutasch. The loop starts and ends at the Parkplatz P13 Puitbach/Ahrn.

This is a daily freshly groomed trail. However, icy and slippery patches may still occur.

Trail access point:
At the Parkplatz Puitbach/Ahrn in the district of Puitbach.

Trail character:
Heading down the valley, partly along the stream, over several bridges at the foot of the striking mountains Arnspitze and Arnplattenspitze, the trail is gently descending until Burggraben, where it turns at the Gasthof Mühle and is slightly ascending from here back to Ahrn. The A9 Unterleutasch is a great loop with an impressive nature experience and stretches over just under 12 kilometers. In the district of Unterkirchen, the loop can also be shortened.

Alternatively, the loop can also be started from the Gasthof Mühle or the Gasthaus Brücke. Both inns are ideal for a subsequent stop. Please note, however, that the inns do not have barrier-free parking spaces and no barrier-free toilets!

Note:

Along the route, side streets and bridges are crossed repeatedly, which may have snow-free patches in poor snow conditions!

Trail conditions can change throughout the day depending on the weather. Please note that icy sections or deep ruts may occur. Please adjust your skiing style accordingly.

An overview of the entire trail network (incl. trail status) and helpful cross-country skiing info (ticket machines, waxing and service points, changing facilities,...) can be found in the Loipenbericht.
