Where there's a forest, there's a clearing. If you plan your tour well, at least. And so on this route you will pass through a mystical forest as well as a sunny clearing.
The route is mainly flat with a few gentle inclines and is suitable for beginners and slightly advanced cyclists. It leads past a romantic forest clearing with a small chapel.
The Wald Trail starts in the charming hamlet of Tschafein near Galtür and offers a varied route through serene winter scenery. Spanning 5 kilometres, it begins with ascent in direction of the Waldkapelle (forest chapel) before descenting into snow-covered forests. A romantic clearing with a forest chapel provides a perfect spot to pause. This intermediate trail connects to the Mathon Trail downstream and the Tschafein Trail upstream. It’s a haven of peace and natural beauty.
