Beautiful and challenging route high above Huben. The Breitlehn Alm will remain closed in summer 2025.
Sporty bike handling skills and defensive riding behavior are required due to some steep climbs and more difficult downhill sections, and the demands on endurance and riding technique are to be classified as medium. The focus is on sporty, active (enjoyment) cycling.
Appropriate equipment such as breathable clothing and weather-appropriate outdoor clothing, bike helmet, gloves, sunglasses, and a GPS device or map material. For bike routes without refreshment options, sufficient provisions are necessary.The starting point is at the sports field in Längenfeld. From there, cycle towards the camping site and then turn onto the Ötztal cycle path (No. 11). Follow this downstream to the district of Huben until you reach the fun park. Just after crossing the small bridge, turn right and follow the signs Polltal - Breitlehn Alm. The forest road now leads moderately upwards in switchbacks. Here you gain some altitude. After just under 7 km you reach the Polltal Alm. With a moderate incline, the forest road continues on the right towards Breitlehn Alm. You will be rewarded with a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains.
Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. The final stop or exit point is the ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, you can travel easily and quickly with public transportation or local taxi companies through the entire valley to your desired destination!
