Equipment

Family-friendly cycling or MTB routes also suitable for normal bicycles with good road surfaces (gravel, asphalt, and comparable surfaces). The gentle climbs do not demand special fitness or riding skills. The focus is on enjoyable cycling.

Appropriate equipment such as breathable clothing and weather-appropriate outdoor wear, bicycle helmet, gloves, sunglasses, and a GPS device or map material. For bike tours without refreshment stops, sufficient provisions are necessary.

Description

From Oetz/sports field, the 28-kilometer mountain bike circuit leads along the little-used Beerweg to Sautens. Past the Sautner Forchet, the extensive forest area, it goes to Roppen. In Roppen, you meet the Inn cycling path on the banks of the Inn, which you follow downstream to Haiming. From there, the route goes back via Wiesrainstraße, past the sports center, to Ötztal station. Upon reaching Ötztal station, the circuit continues on the Ötztal cycling path (11), passing AREA 47 over Brunau and Sautens, back to the starting point in Oetz.

  • Arrival by public transport

    Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal station. The final stop or exit point is the ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, travel conveniently and quickly with public transportation or local taxi companies throughout the valley to your desired destination!
