Description

The start and end point of the mountain bike route to Lenzen Alm is the Freizeit Arena in the center of Sölden. Facing the Freizeit Arena, start to the right and follow the Ötztal cycle path 11 to the valley station of the Gaislachkogelbahn. Upon reaching the Gaislachkogelbahn, turn right to reach the federal road B186, following it to the junction with the glacier road off the federal road. From there, turn right up the steep glacier road; after two hairpin bends, leave the glacier road and follow the Infangstraße to the left. Past Infang, at the next opportunity (red barrier), turn left onto the Obere Gewerbestraße and follow it until reaching the federal road B186. Here turn right onto the federal road B186 and ride through Zwieselstein and three more hairpin bends uphill until you reach the junction leading right onto the forest road to Lenzen Alm. On the way back, ride the same route back down to Zwieselstein and follow the federal road B186 to the valley station of the Gaislachkogelbahn. From there, stay on the Ötztal cycle path 11 downhill to the finish at the Freizeit Arena.

It does not get steeper, but the loose surface takes its toll on the muscles – heart rate rises. After seven kilometers of riding, you reach the Lenzenalm, situated at 1,852 m. The staffed hut offers two sun terraces with a magnificent panoramic view of the Ötztal Alps. Opposite, the daring Timmelsjoch road swings up to one of the highest alpine passes. A truly beautiful place to linger and enjoy!
