Beautiful, easily navigable route along Lake Achensee - from Buchau, with a turnaround point in Achenkirch and an optional return trip by boat.
The start is at the Atoll Achensee parking lot in Maurach. The route follows the well-maintained and fully signposted lakeside path to the boat landing stage in Achenkirch (Scholastika). This is the turning point. The route is not specifically marked as a handbike route, but is easily accessible throughout. Alternatively, the return journey can also be made by boat - for example from Achenkirch to Pertisau and from there back to Maurach. Boarding is possible at all boat stops along Lake Achensee, with the exception of the Gaisalm. The hiking trail there is not suitable for wheelchair users and handbikers. If you don't use the boat, take the same route back.
The route was tested as part of a project by Tirol Werbung and designated as suitable for handbikers.
