A scenic and accessible route along the shores of Lake Achensee – starting from Buchau, which can be combined with a boat trip.
The route starts directly at the lake from the car park Atoll Achensee. Follow the well-signposted path to the pier Scholastika in Achenkirch, which is the halfway point of the tour. The return is via the same route. Alternatively, you can board the Achensee ship here or from any other pier and return to Maurach via Pertisau (except from the Gaisalm, where the trails are not suitable for handbikes/wheelchairs).
This route has been officially approved for hand bikes as part of a project by Tirol Werbung.
