Today's stage of the Bergsagen long-distance hiking trail takes us from Tulfes, via the medieval town of Hall in Tirol and the pilgrimage site Absam, to the other side of the Inn to the beautiful village of Thaur.
Today's stage leads through some beautiful villages up to Thaur. In Tulfes, you start along the Speckbacherweg from where you can already see the towering Karwendel peaks opposite. From the Speckbacherweg, it goes north towards Judenstein and down along the shady path of the Kienberg to the medieval town of Hall in Tirol. There is much to discover here!
However, we cross the town and leave it at the northern end heading west to Heiligkreuz. From here along the Jakobsweg to the pilgrimage site Absam and the Marian Basilica. Later, it goes through the "largest vegetable garden" of Tirol until we reach our stage destination Thaur.
