Tour character

Easy summit tour to the grassy Brennkopf with great views of the Kaiser Mountains, Lake Walchsee and the Chiemgau Alps. Halfway along the route, you reach the Burgeralm, a farmed alpine pasture with its own dairy. Be sure to keep some space in your rucksack for a piece of cheese or two! At the start, you pass the photogenic Lochner waterfall, after the tour you can take a dip in the Walchsee lake.

Description

Starting point is the "Schwemmturm" at the Golf Hotel Moarhof in Walchsee. Opposite the parking lot leads a steep path over fields and through the forest to the Hitscheralm (refreshments available). Alternatively, you can walk along the golf course from the "Schwemmturm", towards Stauding and then on the right hand side via a forest road to Hitscheralm. Then follow the path no. 44 to Brennkopf. You can walk back the same route, or you can hike down a rather steep trail through the forest.

    By bus with line 4030 to the stop Walchsee Dorf.

    At the observation tower of Schwemm there is a parking lot.
