The easy family hike from Rettenschöss to the Burgeralm takes one and a half hours. Start at the Walchsee Information Office and follow Hausbergstraße to Oberwinkl.
Pass the soccer field, then keep left and, before the bridge, turn right and follow the sign for the waterfall. Cross the bridge at the Lochner Waterfall and you’ll reach the forest road. Here, follow the forest road to the left until you reach the fork. Continue along a hiking trail and through alpine pastureland to the Burgeralm. From here, keep left for a few minutes to reach the Wandberg. The Wanderberghütte is just a few minutes’ walk from the Burgeralm.
By bus to the stop Walchsee Dorf.
In the center of Walchsee or in front of the soccer field. There are no e-charging stations. You can park with the Kaiserwinkl Card for free at the soccer field.
