Mountain hikes Cave Stone Circuit

Steep, but worthwhile round to the Höhlensteinhaus with the small summit experience on the Feuerköpfl. A breathtaking view and excellent gray cheese reward the efforts uphill.

Description

The start is at the edge of the forest of Unterlangkamfpen. First the route leads along a forest road from which after a short time a steep path branches off to the right. Follow the path uphill towards the Höhlensteinhaus. In a direct line you go uphill overcoming the almost 700 meters in altitude until the forest slowly thins out and you reach the Höhlenstein alpine pasture area. The Höhlensteinhaus is now already very close and invites you to refresh yourself. After a rest, you can tackle the small climb to Feuerköpfl. The view over the Inn Valley, the Kaisergebirge in the foreground and with the Central Alps in the background is simply breathtaking. The descent is now steep along rock faces and through the forest. Those who want a last sublime view over the Inn Valley can still make a detour to the Rudersburg. The further descent leads past a nice waterfall and then flatter along the forest road back to the starting point.
