from Mayrhofen railway station, take the 4104 bus to Tux-Lanersbach, bus stop Eggalm Bahnen/Tux-Center
A short, brisk descent into the valley from the scenic Eggalm!
Alternative descent route, Trail No. 23:
Coming from the Brandalm, just before the first building of the Eggalm Niederleger, a mountain path branches off to the right into the valley. This initially runs alongside the fence and continues through the wood. Ignore the forest track that crosses your path (or follow it; it crosses the forest path again a little further down) and continue along the path through the wood. At the next fork in the path, keep left! – The straight path leads very steeply doewnhill through the woods to the avalanche barrier near the Hinterangerlift. – Stay on the forest path to the left, pass the wooden walkways; at the stream barrier above Tux-Lanersbach, the valley station of the Eggalm Bahnen comes into view. The final section of the route runs alongside the barrier.
