Description

Description:
Another impressive hiking day, including on the Jubilee Trail, awaits us. At first, we hike back along familiar paths towards Schrecksee, but then turn left towards the Prinz-Luitpold House. The Hochvogel, the mighty, unmistakable rock giant, dominates our view today. Initially still infinitely far away, we get closer to it on the splendid section of the Jubilee Trail. Time and again, we must overcome demanding passages, which are usually secured with wire ropes. Just as we slowly tire of the view of the Hochvogel after several hours, we turn off and face the greatest challenge of today's stage: the scree field to the Bockkarscharte is steep, long and arduous to cross – all the greater is the pride and joy when you finally reach the crossing. Whether you then enjoy the sight of some of the most striking peaks of the Allgäu or the surprisingly close hut more, is up to you!Directions:

Landsberger Hut - Lachenjoch - Kastenjoch - Kalbleggspitze - Lärchwand - Notländ - Bockkarscharte - Prinz-Luitpold-Haus

Tip:
Plan a lunch break on the beautiful bench in the Notländ area: sheep often graze there - and the view is magnificent!Safety guidelines:
Along the entire Grenzgänger route, surefootedness and a head for heights are fundamental requirements. These are alpine paths and trails!Equipment:
Alpine hiking gear, good footwear, possibly polesAdditional information:
