Description

ATTENTION: THE SECTION BETWEEN UMMLBERG AND THE GANALM IS CLOSED AT THE MOMENT!

This tour starts in the district of St. Michael. For the time being, one can still rest and "enter", because the path runs throughout relatively flat and parallel to the edge of the forest. Always following the path, the forest path branches off at Mairbach on the southern slope of the Walder Joches to the Maria Schnee-chapel and the Gh. Schönblick.

Here begins the ascent from the Inn Valley to the Ganalm in Vomper Loch. The view into the Inn valley is now replaced by a rugged mountain range - part of the Karwendel can be seen here. The trail leads west on the northern slope of the Walder Joches to the rustic Ganalm (1,190 m), then left on the footpath via alpine meadows or right on the forest path to the beautifully situated Walderalm. Here you have reached the Walderalm Plateau and the view of Karwendel and the Inn Valley invites you to take another break.

After a promising rest, the descent takes place shortly after the Walderalm in the direction of the Inn Valley. The forest path leads down to St. Michael directly to the starting point.
