Medium difficulty hike from the Bielerhöhe to the Saarbrücker Hütte mountain lodge
The tour begins on the Bielerhöhe and initially leads along an easily accessible path down to the Madlenerhaus lodge. From there, the route runs along narrow mountain paths through dense mountain pine fields and finally leads to the impressive Illschlucht gorge, which is crossed. At the foot of the Lobspitze, the trail reaches a fork where the route continues left towards the Saarbrückner Hütte lodge. This high-altitude mountain lodge offers an impressive panorama of the surrounding peaks, including the Großlitzner at 3,109 metres and the Große Seehorn at 3,121 metres. There is also a via ferrata on the Kleinlitzner at 2,783 metres close to the lodge, which is an additional challenge for experienced mountaineers.
With the railway station in Landeck, the Paznaun is optimally connected to the Austrian train network. From Landeck-Zams station, only a short bus ride separates you from the Paznaun. Every half hour, line bus 260 runs from there through the valley. Bus stop: Vermunt
