The Paznaun High Trail is a true Eldorado for experienced mountain hikers. With its 9 challenging stages covering 120 kilometers and 11,000 vertical meters, it offers an unforgettable nature experience. In just under 60 hours, you hike through a breathtaking backdrop of high alpine peaks, crystal-clear mountain lakes and green alpine meadows.
Both the entire long-distance hiking tour and the individual stages are difficult and run exclusively on black mountain paths. Alpine experience, surefootedness, a head for heights and a very good level of fitness are required.
The High Route starts in See and takes you further into the valley along the alpine terrain high above the villages of Kappl and Ischgl. Once you have reached Galtür, the trail loops back to See along the other side of the valley.
Good to know: The High Route can be done in both directions and in separate sections. At every mountain lodge, there is an access route from and to the valley.
With the railway station in Landeck, the Paznaun is optimally connected to the Austrian train network. From Landeck-Zams station, only a short bus ride separates you from the Paznaun. Every half hour, line bus 260 runs from there through the valley. Bus stop: See Dorf/ Bergbahn
