Description

Tux-Vorderlanersbach Village Center – At the valley station of the Rastkogelbahn, the trail branches off through the forest and heads uphill toward the hamlet of Gemais (an old farmstead). Follow the paved access road for a short distance until Trail No. 21 crosses the road and leads between the Alpenjuwel chalets (No. 242) and Haus Sonnrain (No. 241) to the Rosenkranz Chapel. From there, AV Trail No. 321 leads through the Pfisterwald and across the Voglaue to AV Trail No. 315, which heads to the Geislerhof mountain inn—the only place to stop for refreshments on the tour. The paved road runs downhill from the Geislerhof, crosses the bridge, and then winds back up in a few switchbacks to the Geiselalm. Above the alpine hut, AV Trail No. 315 leads to the Geiseljoch.
