Glaciers are mighty things. Yet, according to current forecasts, the last century may well be the last time that people will be able to see these ice masses in the Alps. On these hikes, you can admire the Alps’ glaciers – both large and small – without ever having to set foot on them.

Come with us to the Glacier Ski Resort!

Glaciers in summer

Although they may look rigid and immobile, glaciers are huge, slowly moving streams of ice found at high altitudes in the Alps. In Tirol, we have around 620 glaciers, accounting for more than two-thirds of Austria’s total glacier area. Here you can find out more about these ice giants in summer.
