Mountaineering bliss above the Gurgler Ferner: the stately Ramolhaus, built on a rocky outcrop, offers an incredible view of three thousand meter peaks and excellent Tyrolean cuisine.
The destination needs to be conquered with a sure-footed hike: From Obergurgl or Vent on moderately difficult mountain trails for approx. 4 hours to the Ramolhaus. If you choose the variant via the Langtalereckhütte, you are on difficult mountain paths with insured passages. Only suitable for experienced mountaineers! But first you can enjoy a stylish stay and good food. The Ramolhaus is the highest mountain hut participating in the "This is how the mountains taste" campaign.

Appropriate equipment such as breathable and weather-adapted outdoor clothing, ankle-high hiking boots, wind, rain and sun protection, a hat, possibly gloves, is required for all hikes and routes. Carrying a first-aid kit, a mobile phone, and possibly a hiking map, as well as sufficient provisions for hikes without refreshment options, is necessary.From Obergurgl over the Ach bridge initially somewhat steep up to the "Beil", then a flowery and scenic high mountain promenade over the high pastures of the Gurlg farmers to the Küppele shepherd's hut. From there first steeply uphill, then moderately ascending again to the two "Herrenbächen". From the former material cable car the path turns right in steep switchbacks to the "Köpfele" on which the serviced Ramolhaus stands.
Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. The final stop or exit point is ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, travel conveniently and quickly by public transport or local taxi companies throughout the valley to your desired destination!
