Today we are a whole lot closer to heaven, as we start by climbing the so-called ladder to heaven. A challenging but breathtakingly beautiful stage through high alpine terrain. Once we arrive at the Hildesheimer Hütte, we enjoy the breathtaking mountain and glacier views.
Difficult, challenging stage on black mountain paths. Sure-footedness and high alpine experience for walking on glaciers is required. Orientation required for pathless terrain. A very good level of fitness is required.
For hikers without fear of heights, sure-footed, and highly experienced in high alpine terrain; excellent physical condition, comprehensive mountain experience, alpine climbing equipment, safety and orientation tools, good weather conditions recommended. Please observe the current weather report
Appropriate equipment such as breathable and weather-appropriate outdoor clothing is required for all hikes and routes. Carrying a first-aid kit, a mobile phone, and possibly a hiking map, as well as sufficient provisions for hikes without dining options, is necessary.
Travel comfortably and safely by train to Ötztal train station. The final stop or exit point is ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, you travel comfortably and quickly with public transportation or local taxi companies through the entire valley to your destination.
