Skiing in the Kitzbühel Alps – Hohe Salve Region

The sunny slopes of the Hohe Salve, offering some of the finest views in the Tirolean Unterland, are a great place for sunny skiing. The local resort forms part of the huge SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental.

Hopfgarten is the largest village in the Hohe Salve region and the perfect base for skiers and snowboarders keen to ski on the Hohe Salve mountain. This peak is popular with wintersports enthusiasts and offers spectacular views of the landscape. Don't miss out on the chance to enjoy coffee and cake on the terrace of the rotating restaurant near the summit. The blue, red and black pistes cater for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. The resort features one of the longest runs in the SkiWelt down to Itter, the second-largest village in the region. Itter has a small resort of its own with two easy beginners' lifts and a ski school – perfect for families. The Kitzbüheler Alpen SuperSkiCard gives holders access to not only all the resorts in the Kitzbühel Alps but a total fo 21 ski resorts in Austria with 900 lifts and cable cars.
