Achensee Via Ferrata Camp

Maurach, 13.06.2022 - 16.06.2022

If you have always wanted to go rock climbing (but haven’t had the courage to try), this is the experience for you: Step out of your comfort zone and join the Achensee Via Ferrata Camp.

This four-day guided Alpine climbing excursion begins with learning climbing skills in the rock climbing terrain. On day two, participants are taken to new heights (literally) with one of Austria’s longest Via Ferrata experiences: The 5-Summits Via Ferrata is not for the faint-hearted. At its most intense, you're suspended on a small iron foothold by a harness high above Achensee Lake. ‘Via Ferrata’ is Italian for ‘Iron Way’, a climbing route with permanently fixed cables for protection and metal ladder rungs to ease your movement over rock. Designed for bold and daring, the excitement, scenic beauty, and personal conquest you will experience on this Via Ferrata adventure is guaranteed to give you an invigorating experience for years to come. The camp is led by certified mountain guides who will introduce you to the basics of the sport. Get ready for stunning mountain views, big skies and a huge sense of acheivement when you reach the top. Experience mind-melting views of the Rofan Mountain Range as you enjoy an apres-climbing platter at an Alpine Pasture Hut.
