Buggy-Friendly Walk: Lanser See

This walk on a sunny plateau in the mountains south of Innsbruck is ideal for families during the warm months of the year and can be accessed quickly and easily using public transport (tram number 6 to Igls).

The route has a mixture of sunshine and shade, meaning it is also suitable for families on hot days. Walkers will enjoy the rolling terrain as they pass the Seerosenweiher pond and reach the Lanser See lake. En route there are plenty of benches to stop for a rest to feed the kids or simply enjoy the view. Just a short part of the trail (50 metres) is a little uneven due to large roots of nearby trees. It is a good idea to take young babies out of the buggy as you negotiate this section. On hot days it is well worth paying a visit to the lake itself, which offers lots of shady spots for toddlers and babies.
